Recently it was reported that, on October 20th, ECS Jets teamed up with non-profit ‘Friends of Puerto Rico‘ in an effort to deliver much-needed supplies to the western region of Puerto Rico; slammed by category 4 Hurricane Maria on September 20th. According to news reports, more than 250,000 lbs. of supplies, including food, water, medicine, and generators, were delivered to Puerto Rico via a chartered 747 that landed at Aguadilla Airport. It was also announced in a November 1st press release that an additional 265,000 lbs. of supplies would be transported by ECS Jets via two MD-11 jets on November 2nd. Some of these provisions were slated to go to the Regazo de Paz orphanage.

Founder and CEO of ECS Jets, Jason Johnson, said that the company wanted to assist in getting Americans’ donations to those who need them, and that Americans have been very generous in their donations to the hurricane-ravaged areas. Johnson said, through the company’s expertise in private jets, cargo, and logistics, they would be able to get the supplies where they need to go quickly.
