As a world leader in private aviation scheduling and management software, we find much of the news related to aviation intriguing. Recently it was announced that Deer Jet, a China-based private jet operator, had successfully flown to Wolf’s Fang Airport in Antarctica on a test flight, following a year of preparation and planning.
Now that the test flight was successful, Deer Jet is set to launch a new charter service between China and Antarctica. According to news reports, the most visitors to Antarctica come from the U.S., with China coming in second place, at about 12% of the 46,000 annual tourists/visitors. Iran Monroy, company spokesman for Deer Jet, said the number of visitors is forecast to increase in 2017 by 200%.
In determining the safest way to travel from China to Antarctica, Deer Jet evaluated hundreds of emergency plans, potential risks, flight support and flight routes. The test flight was smooth with no glitches, leaving the company confident in providing flights to the ice-covered and mostly uninhabited southernmost content.
Deer Jet is committed to offering private aviation for business and corporate clients to some of the most remote locations around the world, and began providing flights to the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort in Tahiti earlier this year.
Deer Jet provides flights throughout 180 countries and territories to 800 airports and has expanded into luxury tour packages, superyacht charters and more. The company has been in operation for 22 years.
